Image provided by Tom McCarthy of Michigan. Alice Cody was born in 1888. She married Martin Healy and died in 1965. She was the daughter of John Cody and Mary Lawrence, and was probably named after her maternal grandmother, Alice Direen. The family lived in Hawke Street West Melbourne in the 1890s and ran a boarding house in King Street and later in Lonsdale Street. The reverse of the card is addressed to Miss S Cody 18 South Spring Street, St Louis, Missouri
