Image held by North Melbourne Library. Black and white photograph.North Corner of Adderley and Hawke Street, North Melbourne. A corner block of late Victorian era Terrace houses, with a 1970 Holden Kingswood Station wagon parked out front.The balconies are adorned with cast iron lattices and the verandas, with cast iron gates and fencing. Chimneys and a parapet are visible with the parapet reading 'SALA TERRACE'. A small, single cottage is situated to the left of the scene, with cast iron lattices and a wooden picket fence. Signage for all day parking is also visible.Inscription on back of photograph; "Exp. 19 Sunday 2-7-72. Late Victorian Terrace Houses and small cottage Nth cnr Adderly (sic) + Hawke St.These three buildings have since been replaced by a more modern block of 3 apartment duplexes.
