General notes:
Image held by North Melbourne Library. 5-17 Leveson Street. An interesting view of a much altered streetscape. Numbers 5 and 7-9 (the two buildings on the far left) are still extant, but all the rest have been demolished. Number 5 was the home of James Kearney, the rate collector for Hotham/North Melbourne for a number of years until his death in 1895. He was succeeded as rate collector by his son, William.
