General notes:
Image Held by North Melbourne Library.Street view of 47 Brougham Street, North Melbourne. B&W photograph. The house is of a mid-late Victorian era design, with Hipped roof and tall masonry chimneys. The long veranda has detailed cast‑iron lacework (iron filigree) and friezes overhanging, with an asymmetrical facade and projecting bay. There is intricate detail in the veranda posts and valances. The front gate is a classic Victorian wrought‑iron style gate and fence ensemble, typical of late‑19th‑century Melbourne homes. This home still exists today, with the addition of two large trees within the front facade.
