General notes:
NEW CITY STREETBourke St. to Lit. Bourke St.Tenders are being called by the Melbourne City Council for the construction of Relowe street, running from Bourke street to Little Bourke street, through the old site of Kirk's Bazaar. The street is to be. 24 ft. wide, and is being made, channelled and footpaths asphalted at the expense of the original vendors. A three-storey building, with shops fronting Little Bourke and Relowe streets, is now in course of construction on the south-west corner, and plans have boon prepared for the construction of buildings on the opposite corner and on other inside blocks having a frontage to Relowe street. This new street will link up with McKillop street, running through from Little Collins street,, and with Wright's lane at the rear, running through to Lonsdale street. It is anticipated that there will be a considerable traffic through this new thoroughfare.
