General notes:
Style: Byzantine Revival/Arts & CraftsPeriod: EdwardianConstruction date: 1916Notable features/Significance: A red brick chapel with gable roofed nave flanked by square towers. Although a rather austere building, decoration is provided by magnificent faience work in the spandrel below the west window and as tracery around the gothic inspired window. The relatively plain brickwork recalls the inspired work of Robin Dods at the Catholic Church Red Hill Brisbane. A hipped roof porch with Queen Anne timber detailing and terracotta shingles gives the Chapel and Arts & Crafts feeling, as do the paired tower level windows to the towers. The fence of simply detailed red brick is of particular importance.Architects: Probably NorthBuilders: North and Williams
