A cataloguing bookshelf and traditional card catalogue drawer cabinet can be seen in the background. The main table is possibly one of the library's original mahogany partner tables. A bear brand cast iron "Whaletail" tape dispenser can be seen on the table to the left of the woman in the dark dress. They are today, classified as a collector's item. The typist is sitting on a Tan-Sad Industrial Swivel Machinist/Typist Chair. These chairs were mass produced from 1922-1975.
