By 1910, the occupant was John Watson..Description:The building at No.59 Bayswater Road is a single storey rendered masonry Edwardian house with a hipped corrugated galvanised steel roof with bracketed eaves. A bullnose profile verandah extends across the façade, and is embellished with cast iron lacework. The façade has a pair of timber framed double hung sash windows. The chimney is rendered and has a moulded cap. The metal picket fence is recent..Significance:The house at 59 Bayswater Road, Kensington, is of local aesthetic and historic interest. The house is representative of the small cottages which were built in large numbers in Kensington during the early decades of the twentieth century, of note for its masonry construction.
