General notes:
Grading as at 1999: Upgraded from E to DPeriod: Victorian, constructed c 1875This house is a single-storey attached nineteenth century residence, of red brick construction. The roof is concealed behind an elaborate cement rendered parapet, with a moulded cornice and segmented arched pediment. The façade has a single timber-framed double-hung sash window and an entrance located to one side. A verandah extends across the façade, terminated by wing walls and embellished with a cast iron lacework frieze. Brickwork quoining and diaper patterns, probably originally in contrasting cream brickwork, have since been painted. It is of local aesthetic and historic interest, being a typical example of the modest housing which was constructed in North Melbourne during the nineteenth century Boom period, a significant phase of the development of the suburb. It is reasonably intact.
