They are first listed in the Sands & McDougall directory in 1913, when they were occupied by Edward Moore and Albert Gray respectively. Gray remained occupant until at least 1920, while Moore was succeeded by George Gottliebsen in 1916..Description:The houses at 32-34 Kensington Road are a pair of Edwardian weatherboard cottages, with hipped and gabled roofs clad in corrugated galvanised steel. No. 32 remains the most intact, retaining its original timber post verandah and half-timbering to the gable end. Windows are timber-framed casements and the side entrances are recessed. The woven wire fences are not original..Significance:The houses at 32-34 Kensington Road, Kensington, are of local historical and aesthetic interest. The houses are an example of the type of small timber Edwardian cottages which were constructed in large numbers in this part of Kensington in the 1910s. The houses are contributory elements in a largely intact streetscape.
