General notes:
Grading as at 1985 : DPeriod : Early Victorian (1870)Grantee : Allison and Knight 1853Samuel Woodham owned and occupied this house for over 25 years, from its construction in 1870. The builders were Crawford and Anderson of Melbourne. [Melbourne Building Permit Applications 3629 1869]A two-storey, face-brick and plain parapetted row house with a cast-iron verandah of two levels and an iron picket fence: the iron pattern is notable. Notable features include fence; verandah decoration; verandah roof and structure.Architecturally, an early example of a common house type of limited integrity but which contributes to a streetscape: of local importance. Historically, little is known of Woodham (he was a hatter and died in 1913, still of this address) : of local interest.
