The four-storey brick building, at 394-400 Latrobe st., is on land 66ft. x 313ft. through to A'Beckett St., and has . a total floor area of about 84,000 sq. ft. Coles sold the property because Its new four-acre building at Fishermen's Bend will be finished early In 1956. Agent In the sale was K. Gardner and Lang Pty. Ltd. Mr. P. V. Savage, of the British General Electric Company, said last night the building had been purchased to meet the needs for more space. Extensive alterations would be made internally to create the modern show- room.
