General notes:
Period: VictorianConstruction Date: 1888Building Citation: An exceptionally fine wrought iron fence, atop a finely moulded smooth basalt base which steps down at regular intervals to the slight declivity of the ground. This fence survived the wide scale removal of fences around gardens by the MCC in the early 20th century only by special parliamentary action. See Swanston R op. cit for further information on these gardens
