By 1890, the occupant was recorded as Mrs Ellen Saville and by 1895, the cottage was occupied by Robert Willett..Description:The house at 35 Bayswater Road is a single storey double-fronted weatherboard Victorian cottage with a transverse gable roof clad in corrugated galvanised steel. The façade has a central entry door flanked by non-original tripartite timber-framed windows with fixed central panes. The original verandah has been replaced by a modern alternative supported by steel posts. The timber picket front fence is recent..Statement of significance:The house at 35 Bayswater Road, Kensington is of local aesthetic and historic interest. The house is representative of the type of modest housing constructed in Kensington during the Boom period of the 1880's. Despite alterations, the scale and form of the house is reinforced by the nature of the surrounding streetscape.
