The occupant of the house was recorded as Alfred Sullivan, who resided in the house for over 15 years..Description:The house at 76 Bayswater Road is a single-storey single-fronted Edwardian weatherboard cottage with a block-fronted facade and a hipped corrugated galvanised steel roof and a set back front door. Alterations have included the reconstruction of the verandah (with steel posts), the cladding of the exterior with artificial brick and the replacement of the front window with an aluminium-framed sliding window. The brick front fence is not original..Significance:The house at 76 Bayswater Road, Kensington, is of local aesthetic and historic interest. The house is representative of the type of development which occurred in Kensington during the early years of the twentieth century. Despite alterations, the Edwardian form of the house is evident and, as such, the house relates to the predominantly Edwardian nature of the surrounding streetscape.
