These buildings are significant for their unusual plain form and Art Nouveau cast ironwork. Construction of tuckpointed red brick, slate roofs with terracotta ridging and timber verandahs with cast iron frieze and balustrade they represent an unusual type in East Melbourne. The asymmetrical garden form and tessellated tiles to the verandah are intact.
