By 1900, the house was occupied by Thomas White..Description:The house at 26 Bayswater Road is a double-fronted, single-storey, block-fronted Victorian villa with a hipped corrugated galvanised steel roof which is penetrated by two polychromatic brick chimneys. The façade is symmetrical, with non-original inter-War timber-framed windows flanking the central entrance door. A bullnose profile verandah extends across the façade and is supported by turned timber posts; the frieze decoration has been removed. The timber picket fence is recent..Significance:The house at 26 Bayswater Road, Kensington, is of local aesthetic and historic interest. The villa is representative of the type of development which occurred in Kensington during last decade of the nineteenth century. The house is intact and contributes to the predominantly Victorian and Edwardian nature of the surrounding streetscape.
