Grading as at 1991 : 407- C, 409 - DPeriod : Mid VictorianOriginally two properties, a house and shop. This is the site of the first plumber in North Melbourne (Hotham). The original address was 195-197 Abbotsford Street, and this is reflected in the parapet of the shop at 409. The house is named Hillside, and is notable for cast iron lace, polychrome brickwork and parapet. The fence has been rebuilt. The shop at 409 has an arched window on the second floor and a corporation verandah.
