General notes:
Grading as at 1991: Upgraded from E to DThis house is a double-fronted, weatherboard cottage with a steeply pitched corrugated galvanised steel gabled roof. A hipped roof verandah extends across the front façade and is supported on square timber columns. The front of the house is symmetrical, with timber-framed double-hung sash windows on either side of the panelled front door. It is of local architectural and historical interest, being a typical example of the type of modest workers' housing constructed in North Melbourne during the mid-nineteenth century. The house is substantially intact and contributes to the surrounding streetscape.
