General notes:
Image held at North Melbourne Library. The scene depicts two houses sharing one wall, with Alexander House on the right. The terrace house appears white or some other light colour, with ornamental urns visible to the left and right of the roof parapet. The parapet is clearly inscribed with the words "Alexander House 1882". Cast iron lace work and lattices adorn both the the balcony and veranda, with a cast iron balustrade railing on the balcony. There are standard sash windows visible on the balcony level, with arch design sash windows on the ground level. The front gate appears to also be cast iron, perhaps green, of a traditional spearhead design.
