It is first listed in the Sands & McDougall directory in 1915, when the occupant was George E Morris, who remained there until at least 1930..Description:Coolabah is a single-storey, block-fronted Edwardian villa with a galvanised corrugated steel hipped and gabled roof. L-shaped in plan, the house has a projecting gabled section with carved timber bargeboards, half-timbering and roughcast render to the gable end. The adjacent verandah has turned timber posts and ornate cast iron lacework; the cast iron balustrade is not original. The tripartite timber-framed casement windows have highlights; windows to the projecting bay have a timber bracketed hood. Chimneys are of red brick with rendered cappings and terracotta pots. The cream brick front fence is not original..Significance:Coolabah, at 21 Epsom Road, Kensington, is of local historical and aesthetic interest. It is a reasonably intact example of the type of Edwardian villas which were built in this part of Kensington in the 1910s. It represents the major, formative phase of development of Kensington west of Epsom Road. The house relates visually to its neighbours at Nos. 7, 17 and 19 Epsom Road.
