Image held by North Melbourne Library.Main Entrance, Mechanics' Institute, North Melbourne. Taken from March 1900 Catalogue.Notes: A Colonnade Archway is visible, with what is perhaps a public noticeboard to the left. A ball pendant light can be seen in front of a flared pendant light. A balustrade design stairway can be seen leading up to the first floor. The wall is decorated with a painted frieze. This stairwell has since been relocated further into the building.
