Fruit producer SPC has been cleared of any wrongdoing by WorkSafe Victoria after the company decided to mandate the COVID-19 vaccine for its staff.
In August, SPC announced the Shepparton-based cannery wanted all of its 450 onsite workers to be fully vaccinated by November.SPC CEO Robert Giles said concerns were raised to WorkSafe Victoria that the company had not properly consulted with its staff before making the decision, but said the safety commission found no evidence the business had breached any rules.
