Directories for those years do not specify any type at this address.DescriptionNO 359 is a double-storey Office building or polychromatic brick construction. The entrance portico has two rendered columns. Some first-floor windows bricked up. The polychromatic brick wall on the first floor ticing Exhibition Street, and on the splay facing La Trobe Steel, added since the mid- 1980s 10 match the rest of the brick work.SignificanceThe offices at 259 Exhibition Street. Melbourne is Of local aesthetic und historic importance. This is an interesting example of the types of business premises erected around the central business district during the 1880s. As an individual building it is an important element in this streetscape.Grading ReviewUnchanged.
