A. Fritsch.Mr. A. A. Fritsch.Mr. Augustus Andrew Fritsch of Fritsch and Fritsch, architects, of Collins street, and of Aloha, Lyndhurst crescent, Hawthorn died on Thursday.Born in Melbourne in 1864. Mr. Fritsch was the eldest son of the late Mr. Augustus and Mrs. Christina Fritsch of Riversdale road, Hawthorn, a pioneer family, who arrived in Australia in 1849. He was educated at Xavier College, Kew. After having served his articles with Wilson and Beswicke architects he completed his architectural training in the United States. He was a fellow of the Royal Victorian Institute of Architects.Mr. Fritsch designed many ecclesiastic and other public buildings in Victoria and in other States. He was architect for Newman College, in conjunction with Mr. W. B. Griffin, and he designed parish churches in Hawthorn, Malvern, Elwood, Middle Park, and Camberwell. St. Patrick's College at Sale; Assumption College at Kilmore: Magnet House in Bourke street; and the Melbourne Spiritualist Temple in Victoria street. His recent works included additions to the Redemptorist Monastery Ballarat, and the Broadmeadows Home which is under construction.He has left a widow, who was Miss Alice Mason of Bendigo, three sons and daughters. His eldest son was in partnership with him. The funeral left the Church of the Im- maculate Conception, Hawthorn, yesterday afternoon for the Boroondara Cemetery and was attended by professional, commercial and building representatives. Prayers were lead at the church by the Rev...McCarthy. The pall bearers were Councillor R. Reynolds, .... and J. S. Meagher. The administrator of St. Patrick's Cathedral Monsignor Lonergan represented Archbishop MannixThe service at the graveside was read by Father J. Kirwan, of the Sacred Heart Church, Kew.
