'Meditation' a massive white marble statue was executed by a French sculptor, Robert Delandre and eventually erected in front of the Fitzroy Gardens Conservatory in 1933. It sits on a polished granite base in which a bronze plaque is inserted which reads: "Presented to the City of Melbourne by Madame Gaston Saint."
