Slum pocket off Bryon Street, North Melbourne. This image was taken by the slum abolition campaigner Oswald Barnett. Barnett captured inner Melbourne in glass lantern slide images which were used in presentations to raise funds for the creation of the Methodist Babies' Home, one of Connections UnitingCare's founding organisations. The image is part of the Connections UnitingCare Collection. Connections is a community organisation with a history of supportingmarginalised and disadvantaged children, young people and families in Melbourne.
