General notes:
Period: Inter WarConstruction date: c. 1898An imposing house with a simplified roof form and materials of the 1920s (rough cast and shingle) but with fenestration more closely allied to the Federation period. Although this house is somewhat larger than its neighbours, its corresponding greater set back means the house does not dominate. A balustrade with rendered capping surrounds the front providing a concealed entry. Chimneys are well detailed in cement render and rough cast. Restoration desirable.Architect: McCrae, Toole & Cuthbert (Alterations c.1920)Builder: Angel Brothers, Grace Street, Malvern (Alterations and additions)Occupiers/Owners: Cuthbert Blackett, Mrs Eliza Syme, Miss MF McCarthy, E&M Lowenthal
