General notes:
Thomas Hayes Melbourne Cab Bureau, 242 Victoria Street, North Melbourne. Thomas Hayes operated this business until 1910. The building is the former Freemasons Hotel, operated by his wife, Jane, from 1901 until the hotel was closed under the Local Option Poll of 1904. Tom Hayes had run his cab business from the hotel in that time as well. The lack of the name of the hotel in this image means the image is after 1904.
