The floors will be designed so that each may carry a load suitable for any purpose for which it Is likely to be desired. All the lighting and planning has been so arranged that the entire building may be let, floor by floor, or as office or showrooms, to suit any particular trade or business.As the accompanying sketch shows, the building will be of considerable architectural distinction. It will be of reinforced concrete and fireproofconstruction throughout. The ground floor will he used largely us a. display block, with show oases, etc., for the shops above. Another feature will bea footway and show cases along Craig's Lane to Little Collins street.The old buildings on the site are now being demolished, . And within four months the Public Benefit Bootery expect to bo in possession of portion of their new building. Messrs Grainger, Little, Barlow and Hawklns are the architects.
