Unfortunately through many yean exposure to the weather the cement base has cracked, causing the shadow which gives the time to fall out of position hall an hour. As many citizens use the gardens in the lunch hour; , could not the base be remodelled and dial reset to give the correct time ? These Egyptian sun dials date back 650 odd years, and are worth keeping in repair.— W. H. SCOTT (Middle Brighton).
