HISTORY.The rate books and directories are not precise as to occupants of No. 273 until 1885, when A. Leckie, Dealer, is shown as the occupant. From 1888 to 1930 the premises was used as a confectionery shop by Mrs. Rizzo.No. 275 is listed from 1860 as a shop, having various occupancies.No. 273 has the date 1873 on the entablature.2. DESCRIPTION.Two storey brick shops and residences. No. 273 has retained its original shop front and Victorian detailing and except for the removal of its verandah, very much reflects its former appearance. The shop front in its present form may be a later alteration. No. 275 has been considerably altered with the removal of its original ornamentation, particularly the moulding around the windows, and by the introduction of a modern shop front. The rear sectors of these buildings still reflect their former appearance.3.
