General notes:
Grading as at 1999 : DPeriod : FederationA single-storey Edwardian brick house with a terracotta tiled gable roof, timber bargeboards and a timber gable screen. The house has a deep setback. Its facade contains double entrance doors with segmented arch glazed panels and a tripartite timber-framed double-hung sash window, the upper sashes having diapered leadlight glazing. A verandah extending across the house has a glazed brick balustrade with horizontal openings below the glazed brick capping. The front fence is of red brick. It is of local historical and aesthetic interest, dating from a relatively late subdivision which occurred following the demolition of the Melbourne Benevolent Asylum. It is a relatively intact example of a cottage displaying Edwardian and inter-War characteristics.
