It was the stone hotel that was the setting for this bazaar offering in 1859 `To Private Gentlemen, Breeders of Stock, and Others The two three-year-old female ZEBRAS lately imported from Africa are now OFFERED for positive SALE. The animals can be seen, and full particulars had, at the Royal Park Hotel, Flemington-road..' (note name confusion -Royal Park Hotel that then was listed in Howard Street)1921 added parapet with a flagpole perhaps for patriotic purposes after the First War.1937 rebuilt and added to with application of the Moderne style, typically used for inter-war hotel renovations.Then the owner was J O'Shea of 77 Flemington Rd- long term ownership by this family who were produce merchants adjoining the hotel.
