General notes:
Grading as at 1999: Upgraded from E to DPeriod: Late Victorian, constructed c 1892This house is a double storey, semi detached residence of rendered masonry construction. It has a hipped roof behind a rendered and moulded parapet. A double storey verandah and balcony extends across the façade, with cast iron columns, balustrading and friezes. The balcony has a concave roof of corrugated galvanised steel. At ground level, the front façade contains the main entrance and a centrally located tripartite window. It is of aesthetic and historic interest, as the double storey house demonstrates the more affluent style of the housing constructed in North Melbourne during the nineteenth century Boom period, a significant phase of the development of the suburb.
