A video from ECU's archive of documentaries and teaching films. Tranby Primary School was chosen as a focus school to undertake a three year exploration into best practice in early childhood education. The long term objective was the development and trialing of flexible teaching structures to meet the children's needs. This program illustrates the techniques that evolved. Features of the programme include: Utilisation of the Western Australian Oral Language Assessment Tool Flexible multi-age activities, Moving the pre primary into the junior cluster, Integrated and developmental learning in a P-2 Structure, Before school multi-age activities Structured M.A.G., Learning journey activities, combining and sharing the learning resources and collaborative planning.
