The MO-1000 is an Overlocker (also known as a serger) that produces a looped stitch on the edge of a seam. This stitch is good for sealing several raw edges together and ensuring the fabric does not fray. It is also useful for stretch fabrics. You should always sew off the edge of a piece of fabric when using an overlocker, and not pull the edge of the fabric out from under the foot, as this damages the machine.
