Book
Adrian Lockheart is a psychologist escaping his life in England. Arriving in Freetown, Sierra Leone, in the wake of civil war, he struggles with the intensity of the heat, dirt and secrets this country hides. Elias Cole, Lockheart's patient, recalls love and desire that drove him to acts of betrayal. Elsewhere in the hospital, Kai, a gifted young surgeon, tries desperately to forget the past; tormented by the pain of lost love and the mental anguish he bears from the civil war. While Lockheart tries to help these men, but when he too falls in love, past and present collide, affecting them all. The Memory of Love is the story of four lives colliding; a story of betrayal , tragedy and loss; of friendship, understanding, absolution, and the indelible effects of the past; and about the very nature of love.
