The selfish giant
Wilde, Oscar, 1854-19002013
Book
There once was a giant who had the most beautiful garden. When he was away, the children loved to play there, but one day he came back unexpectedly and chased them all away. He built a wall around his garden to keep it all to himself. But then a strange thing happened. Spring, Summer and Autumn stopped coming to his garden. It was Winter all year round and the giant was miserable. Things change when the children find a way to sneak back into the garden, and the giant learns that sharing makes everyone happier.
