This programme contains interviews with Psychiatrists and two people who have experienced severe depression. We see that the road to recovery includes in-patient care, medication and psychotherapy. The programme concludes with a follow-up interview after six months.. Bill's video diary is included as a bonus feature and follows on from the main programme. Bill talks candidly about his depression and the treatment. He explains the patient experience, and along with his outlook for the future that leaves us with a real sense of hope and optimism that things will get better for him. Five years late we are able to catch up with him, hear the progress he has made and see that he was indeed right to be optimistic.. Main programme - 16 minutes. Video diary - 19 minutes.
