Summary

For years, Fahima Deeb has managed to maintain a fragile peace between Resonants -- those with supernatural gifts -- and baseliners. But the Black Rose Faction, a militaristic organisation of Resonants who are controlled by an increasingly unhinged Patrick Davenport, is undermining Fahima's diplomacy, pushing instead for a violent takeover of the United States.
