Suga Roy and Conrad Crystal are back alongside The Fireball Crew with a tribute album to the kings of Reggae. Honoring The Kings of Reggae is the duo’s fifth studio album, but this year the duo became a trio with the arrival of singer Zareb. It took over two years to complete this project. The entire production is by Bobby ‘Digital’ Dixon and the album has a fat row of featured artists: Sizzla, Jah Mali, Busy Signal, Terry Linen, Burro Banton, Krymist and Gyptian. Big names for big titles, in Honoring the Kings of Reggae there are re-interpretations of classics by Bob Marley, Desmond Dekker, Burning Spear, Bunny Wailer, Jimmy Cliff, The Abyssinians, Israel Vibration, Dennis Brown, Peter Tosh, Gregory Isaacs, John Holt, Alton Ellis, Ijahman Levy, Culture, The Gladiators and more. Each song has a slightly different title from the original, with respect to the original authors and their historical version. On each version there’s the inimitable toast by Suga Roy, the falsetto voice of Conrad Crystal and Zareb that balance the ensemble.
