Cabaret performer, nightclub singer, Broadway actor Dick Smart was a feature attraction at premier venues in New York, on the West Coast, and at leading cabarets in London, Paris, Morocco and Tunisia throughout the 1940's and 1950's. He was a wonderfully emotive singer who performed regularly but recorded little. These rare late 1950's recordings from this "Smart and Continental" singer, reveal a voice that is well schooled in the classic material presented, including well known show tunes and cabaret numbers in French and Spanish. All selections newly remastered.
