This guidelines has been compiled and issued to provide a technical guide to the requirements and concessions for the installation of sprinklers within recycled buildings for residential and mixed uses in the City of Melbourne.

"The Plan sets out the principles that guide how Council calculates and raises the revenue required to fund its activities, and how the funding burden will be apportioned between ratepayers and other users of Council facilities and services"--page 3.

It is proposed that this briefing paper will assist in informing Council's deliberations and stimulate debate as we seek to articulate a preferred future for the City as part of the review of the Council's Municipal Strategic Statement (MSS) - City Plan -- Foreword.
